Daily Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and Acclimatization

  • Morning: Arrival at the destination. Warm welcome by the team.

  • Transfer: Transfer to Palacio de Sal, the only 5-star hotel in the region.

  • Afternoon: Accommodation at the hotel and free time to explore the facilities and enjoy the unique view of the Salar de Uyuni.

  • Acclimatization: Time dedicated to altitude acclimatization to ensure the well-being of all participants.

  • Equipment Check: Full equipment check for halo jumps and supplemental oxygen, conducted by our specialized team.

  • Briefing: Informative session on safety, procedures, and the expedition schedule.

  • Evening: Welcome dinner at the hotel, followed by rest.

Day 2: Acclimatization and Desert Exploration

  • Morning: Continued acclimatization with light activities to adjust the body to the altitude.

  • Afternoon: Guided tour of the salt desert, including main landmarks such as Isla Incahuasi (the Island of Giant Cacti) and other breathtaking landscapes.

  • Area Reconnaissance: Scouting and familiarizing with areas for the upcoming jumps.

  • Sunset: First jump over the salt desert, taking in the stunning colors of the sunset.

  • Evening: Dinner at the hotel and rest for the next day.

Day 3: Jumps and Preparation for Laguna Colorada

  • Morning: Second jump over the Salar de Uyuni, with impressive views of the vast salt desert.

  • Lunch: Exclusive lunch in the desert, set in a spectacular location and specially prepared for the participants.

  • Afternoon: Briefing for the jump over Laguna Colorada, detailing safety measures, equipment, and the unique challenges of the location.

  • Evening: Dinner at the hotel and rest.

Day 4: World's first Jump over Laguna Colorada

  • Morning: Flight from Uyuni, soaring over the stunning landscapes, heading towards Laguna Colorada.

  • Jump: Historic jump over Laguna Colorada, with panoramic views of the colorful waters and surrounding mountains.

  • Tour: Explore the region, including Laguna Verde, the Dali Desert, and other remarkable landmarks in the area.

  • Evening: Arrival and accommodation at Mallku for the night, followed by a traditional dinner and rest.

Day 5: Final Jump and Return to Uyuni

  • Morning: Return to Uyuni in the morning.

  • Final Jump: Fourth jump over the Salar de Uyuni, taking in the vastness of the salt desert in a unique moment.

  • Lunch: Lunch in the desert or along the return route, enjoying the landscape.

  • Evening: Special farewell dinner, celebrating the conclusion of an unforgettable expedition.

Day 6: Departure 

  • Morning: Farewell in the morning, with transport to the airport or continuation of travel.

  • What is the altitude from which I will jump, and at what altitude are the landing areas?
    During your HALO experience, you will jump from an altitude of 20,000 feet. The landing at the Salar de Uyuni will be at about 12,000 feet, and at Laguna Colorada, it will be at about 14,000 feet.
  • What aircraft will be used for the jump?
    The jump will take place from a Bolivian Air Force plane, and the pilot will also be an officer of the Bolivian Air Force.
  • Who will be our HALO specialist?
    Colonel Leite will be our HALO specialist. With an impressive career, he is a veteran of the Brazilian Air Force with extensive experience in high-altitude jumps, being considered one of the top specialists in HALO (High Altitude Low Opening) operations in Latin America. He has led numerous combat parachuting missions and tactical training, in addition to being an instructor and a reference in his field. Colonel Leite is also known for his programs on the Discovery Channel, where he shared his vast knowledge and experience with a global audience. His technical expertise and exceptional skills ensure a unique and safe experience for all participants.
  • Do we have a doctor accompanying us on the HALO expedition?
    Yes, we will have the accompaniment of a doctor who is a specialist in hypoxia during the HALO expedition to ensure the comfort and well-being of all participants. The specialist will be attentive to any altitude-related needs, ensuring that everyone has adequate oxygen levels and is in great condition throughout the experience. Her presence provides an extra layer of safety, allowing participants to fully enjoy the expedition with peace of mind and confidence.
  • What qualifications do I need to skydive?
    Due to the drop zone altitude and difficulty, all solo skydivers require a USPA/BS C license or above, or an equivalent category, to participate in this experience. No prior experience is required for the tandem jump experience.
